HOW IT WORKS

The Pond WaterKeeper is exceptional for removing the sludge layer from ponds.
It's also ideal for making water changes. It only removes the polluted water from
the bottom of the pond, thus eliminating the need for the pond to be totally emptied.

Follow these six easy steps to a cleaner pond–and to feeding your lawn with nutrient rich water.

Step One

Net out any large leaves and debris
from the pond floor and allow to settle.

Step Two

Lay out the following pieces:

• Pond WaterKeeper Vacuum
   (included)

• Regular Garden Hose

• 3/4” Vinyl Tubing for Water Removal
   (sold separately)
You can purchase vinyl tubing long
enough to discharge water to your
   garden or lawn from WaterKeeper,
your pond dealer or from your local
   hardware store
.

• Extendable Handle
  (sold separately)
You can purchase either a Pond
   WaterKeeper Extendable Handle
   from WaterKeeper, your pond dealer
or you can purchase a broomstick
handle from your local hardware store.

Step Three

Screw your handle clockwise
into the handle socket. The Pond
WaterKeeper Extendable Handle can
be extended to the desired length.

Step Four

Attach your 3/4” vinyl discharge hose
to the barbed outlet pipe and place
the other end of the discharge pipe in
your garden, a bucket or your desired
discharge position. Remember, the
nutrients from your pond (sludge/fish
emulsion) will make your plants grow.

Note: Even though water is going
into the Pond WaterKeeper unit, it will
suck water from your pond. It does
not put any tap water into your pond.
Do not direct at small pebbles/rocks/
sticks that may clog the unit. If any
debris catches on the front of the
nozzle of the Pond WaterKeeper, just
use your free hand to remove and
discard debris from the unit.

Step Five

Attach your garden hose to the
snap-on hose fitting. Turn your
water tap on to the desired
pressure (we recommend half flow)
and start vacuuming pond sludge
and sedimentation. Adjust the
pressure accordingly.

Step Six

Once complete, turn off the tap and
remove the Pond WaterKeeper from
the pond. You may want to use a
water conditioner to treat water
when refilling pond.

Now enjoy your clean pond while
you watch your lawn and garden
grow with the natural nutrients from
sludge emulsion vacuumed by your
Pond WaterKeeper.
